A mini-sem experience exclusively for alum of Snorkel & Study and Sun & Study!
Bais Chana and Birthright Israel invite YOU - to strengthen the people of Israel and strengthen yourself during an awe-inspiring trip to our homeland!
Bais Chana Alum are coming together to strengthen Israel through a hands-on highly subsidized volunteer program through Birthright Israel! This is your chance to make a difference and stand with the people of Israel during these difficult times.
Our volunteer experience will be Jerusalem based and includes travel to and taking part in agriculture, packing/distribution, or other hands-on projects. Your volunteer work will also help rebuild, restore, and renew the areas most deeply impacted by October 7th. Support the return of Israelis to the border areas with community re-building projects and by giving real-life assistance to those in need.
On Land & Study you’ll learn with your favorite teachers, madrichos and best friends that will take your experience to a whole new level.
Eligibility Criteria
- Jewish and between 19 and 32 years old
- Have a valid Passport
- Participation in this program does not affect future eligibility for Birthright Israel programs
Highly Subsidized Program Fee
- $300 USD Round trip from Europe or FSU (includes $50 registration fee
- $600 USD Round trip from North America and worldwide countries (includes $50 registration fee).
- Includes group flight leaving from JFK airport, hotel accommodations, volunteer placement for 4-6 hours a day, organized transportation to volunteer sites, health insurance, full Bais Chana educational program, support staff.
What’s not included
- Travel insurance
- Applicants who wish to arrive to Israel on their own and not use the subsidized group flight will only pay the $50 registration fee to Birthright.
Application Process
- Choose Land & Study program dates, Aug 5-17, and submit your application
- Pay the $600 / $300 fee if you join the group flight or $50 if you’re buying your own ticket.
- $50 of any of those amounts is a non-refundable registration fee.
- Receive an official program offer via email.
- Upload additional documents (e.g. passport, medical form)
- Purchase travel insurance (and book your flight if you’re not joining the group flight!)
- Pack your bags to come learn and volunteer in Israel!
