Why Snorkel & Study?

Did you go on a Birthright trip to Israel and then wonder what’s next?

Do you love Friday night Shabbat meals at your Chabad House on campus?

Did you go to Pegisha National Shabbaton in New York City?

Are you ready for more?

Do You Wonder?

Why is there so much antisemitism in the world?

Do Jews believe in souls?

Why marry Jewish?

Is abortion allowed in Judaism?

What does Torah say about dealing with anxiety, sadness and guilt?

How do I know if what I believe is true?

In one week at Snorkel & Study you’ll explore Jewish thinking, texts and traditions
with A-list educators.

Tan, snorkel and swim at a stunning resort in the Florida Keys. Make lasting friendships with your Jewish peers from around the world. And have candid conversations about everything from love, dating and intimacy, to souls, reincarnation, free will and abortion. You’ll find out what Jews believe, why we pray, what’s the key to happiness, and what really happened in the Garden of Eden.

Are you ready for the best
Jewish winter break adventure you've ever had??
Then Snorkel & Study is for you.

What's on the Agenda

IMG_1088

A crash course in Judaism you take at your own pace.

Hold on because these 7 days are going to go fast. This is a crash course in Judaism like no other.

If you’re ready to go deep, for an intense week of study, take every class on the schedule and fill in with tutorials. If you're just starting to explore and want to take it lighter, we’ll let you know which main classes you should attend.

Whatever you do, leave your preconceptions about Judaism home, keep an open mind and don’t miss the challah baking, the farbrengens (we’ll explain) or the talent show. There are going to be lots of surprises.

She said, she said.

I can't believe how much I learned in such a short period of time, and about so many things I didn't expect.

~ Amie from Montreal

The teachers are such strong, smart, outspoken women. Seriously, I've never met Jewish women like this before - they're not intimidated by anything.

~ Claire from Bellmore

I never had Jewish friends so I was kind of expecting not to make any friends at all here. Instead I'm leaving with 2 of the closest friends I've ever had.

~ Robby from El Paso

Where we're staying

We’re staying at Mariners Resort Key Largo, a stunning oceanfront resort in the Florida Keys. Our classroom and the Clubhouse (our dining area) are a short walk from your gorgeous condo. Each condo has a living room, dining room, 2 to 4 bedrooms. Most units have a Jacuzzi. The condos surround a marina that opens directly into the blue waters of the Atlantic Ocean.
